Eglise Saint-André

Religious building in Dennevy
  • The church of Saint André in Dennevy has retained a Gothic nave. The crossing under the bell tower, the choir bay and the side chapel date from the 16th century. The apse and the sacristy are modern (19th century) as is the bell tower. The church was enlarged in 1848 according to the plans of the Chalonnais architect Lazare Narjoux by encroaching on the old cemetery. This mixture of styles has a certain charm that is underlined by an aesthetic interior and exterior restoration that dates...

The main altar and the tabernacle were rebuilt in masonry supporting a simple slab.
