The Nainglet woods are one of the two woods which constitute the undivided forest of Fontaines and Farges-les-Chalon with a total area of 520 hectares. This little piece of forest is the perfect place to understand the different aspects of forest management and the forest environment in general: it is a real concentrate of silviculture within everyone's reach! As you venture there, you will walk among stands of pedunculate oaks and sessile oaks (some individuals of which can be very old, you will see!). At the bend of the paths, you will come across forest ponds rich in biodiversity or even “dead” trees which are not so dead after all...
