We offer this loop from Givry, over 3 days of hiking and 2 nights on site. the road book was made according to this municipality of departure. Indeed, the village is easily accessible, you have all the services and shops on site. However, you can start other municipalities, but you will have to adapt with the road book. Depending on your circuit, remember to book a table d'hôtes if necessary, or find accommodation in a town with restaurants. We recommend Mercurey or Rully as a starting point, as there are a few shops and services on site. Day 1: Givry – Mercurey: 30 km Leaving in the middle of the morning, from the Place de la Poste, you can stop at the Caveau Givry Vins, which is also a tourist information point, just to discover the activities that will take place during your stay. Allow 6 hours of hiking to do this loop, not counting lunch breaks or tastings or visits. You will resume your journey towards Saint Denis de Vaux, rediscovering the vineyards and the cliffs. Remember to take your picnic for lunch. You will discover the valley of Vaux and its steep landscapes. Arriving in the village of Saint-Mard de Vaux, you can stop for a short tasting stop at the Domaine du Four Bassot. You will then continue your way through vineyards and forests, and for a few kilometers will not come across a living soul or trace of a dwelling. This path will take you to the Croix du Teu, where a breathtaking panorama will spread out at your feet. You will be above Saint Martin under Montaigu. You will arrive at Mercurey, where you can spend an evening resting. Many wine estates and accommodation on site, not to mention the Caveau Divin which presents the full range of Mercurey wines Day 2: Mercurey – Rully: 27 km Departure from the Caveau Duvin de Mercurey. After going around the Pont Latin pond, you will continue towards the north and will be able to discover new views of Mercurey and the Côte Chalonnaise. You will pass in front of many wine estates of the Côte Chalonnaise. You will go up to Rully while hiking on the plateaus of the 1ers crus, you can make a slight detour to admire the Château, a medieval fortress perched on top of an ocean of vines. You will also pass in front of the caves of Agneux. This route is the one where you will be the most in the forest, which will allow you to enjoy a certain freshness at the height of the day. You will pass on the side of Aubigny, then you will find the landscapes of vineyards on arriving at Bouzeron, where you can stop at a winegrower in this village, the only village of the Côte Chalonnaise to produce exclusively wine with the Aligoté grape variety. Then you will continue your journey before arriving at the village of Rully, which has many domains and accommodation providers to welcome you. As for catering, the Vendangerot can welcome you (except Tuesday and Wednesday). A convenience store will allow you to prepare the picnic for the next day if necessary. Day 3: Rully – Givry: 28 km Departure from Rully town hall. After crossing the village of Rully and surveying your first vines, you will follow a path that passes at the foot of the Fontaines fitness trail. If you feel up to adding a few kilometers to your hike, don't hesitate, it's a very pleasant walk through the forest. And this can be a shortcut to get to the Saint Hilaire tower (visible only from the outside). Before arriving in the village of Saint-Jean-de-Vaux, where you can buy picnic items at the bakery, you will pass in front of the washhouse. On the side of Saint Denis de Vaux, you will pass in front of the church, to visit if you can. You will go up towards the village of Russilly, then cross the Natura 2000 classified stubble and cross the plateau and its forests before descending to the village of Givry. You will have superb views of the village of Givry, its vineyards, and if the weather is nice, you will discover Mont Blanc. When you arrive in Givry, why not take the opportunity to have a drink on the terrace next to the Halle Ronde (exhibitions on site from October to March) or towards the Place d'Armes, take the opportunity to discover the church of Emiland Gauthey (who built the Canal du Centre). Several domains are at your disposal in the heart of the village, and if you have not yet tasted the wines of Givry, go through the cellar, just to finish in style. Finally, to end the day well, several restaurants welcome you to Givry. Tables d'hôtes for guests sleeping on site: Jambles: La Gémuloise (7 km from the start) Barizey: Au pain daily (by reservation, 14 km from the start) Mellecey: Clos Saint Martin (by reservation, 29 km departure)
