Varied tour, well balanced fairly long but without difficulty. Hamlets (Agneux and the caves - small incursion possible following the indications of the GR) in villages (Nantoux, Aubigny), from valleys to hills, it will allow you to discover the vineyards. You will walk from north to south and south to north between the vineyards, on paths lined with low walls and boxwood and on the edge of forests. Finding the starting point Go to the car park of the multipurpose room, a descriptive panel presents the circuit (RIR). The first signpost is against the wall of the castle park, village side. Exit the car park on the left, then turn right on rue Saint-Laurent, towards the Château Saint-Michel (admire the chapel). Above: on the left, the church; go down opposite a small steep alley, rue de l'Epée. At the bottom of the rue de l'Epée, turn immediately left towards the square square of Sainte-Marie, follow it to the right. At the end, at the bakery, turn right, then take the first street on the left, opposite the post office: rue du Bourgneuf. Go up towards the hamlet of Agneux. Arrived at this hamlet (1), turn right (impasse d'Agneux), follow this path to the cross "Meix Caillet", turn right, you are on the GR76. Follow the signs Mont Palais, at the top of this path, join the road crossing the small stream from the reservoir. Go up towards Bouzeron. (2) Leave the Bouzeron road on your right, go straight ahead in the forest of Nantoux. At the first house of the village (3), turn left on the dirt road (yellow marking) and do not leave it until Aubigny. You can also make the detour to the village and visit the chapel and the bread oven. (4) Go straight to the fork, a directional arrow indicates Aubigny. In front of you is the village of Aluze. Pass the farm Aubigny, follow the signs. At the exit, follow the road for 350 meters between the dry stone walls to Fromange ", then leave the road to go left towards Mont Palais, always stay on the right path. At the "Les Cailloux" mark, stay on the right between boxwood and vines, then take the left turn on the edge of the forest (leave on your right the path that goes down). Walk on the Mont Palais to Agneux (5). You can easily find your starting point by following the GR76 which will take you back along the medieval castle, or by following the indications of the yellow arrows. The castle, the steeple of the church will serve as landmarks.
