    In 1662, in order to restore order and safety, Louis XIV ordered the creation of a general hospital in each town to house all the poor who had been reduced to begging. This led to the founding of the Hospice Saint-Louis, which opened in 1685. You will be told the story of this place and its inhabitants, right up to its transformation during the French Revolution.
